Zuers is a geometric sans serif consisting of 5 weights: Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black with matching italics and two variable fonts (upright and italic). Each style has 635 glyphs.
Zürs is the name of a ski resort in the Austrian Alps, in the state of Vorarlberg. The design of the typeface is based on a hand-drawn caption on the advertising poster »Zürs Arlberg Austria« from 1935 by Alexander Wagner. Although only a few letters and numbers were given as inspiration, it was sufficient to create an entire font.
Zuers comes with a range of OpenType features:
* alternative letterforms
* tabular and old-style figures (no tabular old-style)
* ligatures
* fractions
* case-sensitive forms
* super- and subscripts
* etc.
